Welcome to SGR School

The Sandur Girls Residential School is an English medium school that follows the ICSE syllabus. It takes in students from standards 5 to 10. Very appropriately, the school was started in the International Year of the Girl Child, in 1991.
The school is set in a beautiful location: at the foot of Ramgad Hills on the banks of the Tungabhadra reservoir, at Vyasanakere near Hospet.
The school is sponsored and supported by The Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited. The company is known and respected for its valuable contribution to the field of education. The distinguished educationist, M.Y. Ghorpade, is the Chairman of the School Committee.
The school has achived 100% results to date, with 60% of its students gaining merit-based admission to medical, management and engineering courses
